Booked: Hotel Gajoen Tokyo

I am planning to have a winter vacation in Japan around February next year. Despite I haven’t issued any air ticket yet, there are some accommodations that I book way in advance. One of them is Hotel Gajoen Tokyo.

Hotel Gajoen Tokyo is luxury historical hotel located in Tokyo city center. This beautiful Hotel is also member of Small Luxury Hotels of The World (SLH). The nightly member rate to stay in this hotel is about USD 800 around my date. So will I pay that much for stay in a hotel? Of course no…

Thanks to SLH’s generous ‘refer a friend’ program, I got a free night voucher by staying in L Hotel Seminyak with my friend last year.  Considering that redemption of SLH free night voucher is a bit complicated, I decided to book 1 night stay in Hotel Gajoen Tokyo using free night voucher way early.

Redemption of free night voucher must be done manually by sending request email  to SLH’s representative. After some time (about 2 weeks if I recall correctly…) and few rounds of emails, finally I secure my room in Hotel Gajoen Tokyo for free! They booked me an Executive Suite Room Which is huge for hotel room standard in Japan, sized about 80 sqm.

I guess I will to spend most of my Japan winter vacation in Tohoku region. So after Tokyo, I will try to figure out where to stay in that region. Will give you guys updates very soon!
